I was quite surprised to hear the BBC Brekfast crew use the F word this morning... FAT!

I am fat, I have no problem using the term fat but it's something I have not heard on the BBC for a while, usually it's the term overweight or their favorite, obese!

I was wondering what your views are on this news item about fat people being subject to abuse in the street or discrimination for jobs etc etc?

The news article featured two lovely larger ladies who are proud of their size and body shape. Lots of watchers contacted the BBC to say that people choose to be fat and it's our fault etc. I don't neccesarily disagree with this but regardless we should not be subject to abuse, nor should anyone for making a life_style_ choice!
