A delicious _layer_ of thick caramel on a biscuit _base_, topped with bananas and cream. Recipe from Nestlé UK.

Preparation time 20 minutes
Cooking time 5 minutes
Cooling time 11/2 hours
Serving number 10

100 g Butter, unsalted (melted)
250 g Digestive biscuit (crushed)
175 g Butter, unsalted
85 g Caster sugar
85 g Brown sugar
1 can (397g) NESTLÉ Sweetened condensed milk
4 Banana
250 ml Whipping cream 30% (lightly whipped)
Cocoa powder for dusting
Preparation stepsMix together the 100g melted butter and the crushed digestive biscuits. Press on to the _base_ and up the sides of a 19cm (7 1/2") loose bottomed cake tin. Place in the fridge to chill whilst preparing the caramel.
To make the caramel place the 175g butter in a saucepan with the sugars. Heat gently, stirring until the butter is melted and the sugars are dissolved. Add the contents of the NESTLÉ Sweetened condensed milk. Bring gently to the boil, stirring continuously, and cook until a smooth golden brown caramel is formed.
Spread the caramel over the chilled biscuit _base_. Leave to set in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours.
To serve slice the bananas and arrange most of them over the caramel. Top with the whipped cream and decorate with the remaining banana slices and dust with cocoa powder.
